How we use it
To respond to you, coordinate volunteer work, process and acknowledge contributions, send updates you asked for, and meet our legal and compliance obligations as a Florida 501(c)(4). Family stories are published only with your written permission.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share it only with service providers who act on our instructions (email delivery, payment processing, and American Caging, Inc., which handles funds custody and compliance), or when the law requires.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Vercel Analytics, a privacy-focused service that records aggregate page views and Web Vitals without cookies or cross-site tracking identifiers. We do not run advertising trackers. Embedded third-party media (for example YouTube players) may set their own cookies under their own policies.
Retention and security
We keep form submissions as long as needed to respond and to satisfy record-keeping rules for contributions. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with access limited to staff and processors who need it.
Your choices and deletion requests
You may ask us to correct or delete your information, or to stop contacting you, at any time. Call 1-888-788-MAHA or use the contact form with “Privacy request” in the subject. We will confirm within 30 days. Records we must keep for compliance (for example contribution records) are retained as the law requires.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If a parent submits a story about a child, the parent controls that information and may withdraw it.
Changes
We will post any changes here with a new effective date. See also our Terms of Use.
